This little boy is simply gorgeous. He looks straight at the camera, fascinated and mesmerised by the lens and the sound of the shutter clicking. This made it easy for me to take a few portraits up close. He was 8 months old when these photos were taken and teething furiously, hence the dribbles! These were taken late in the afternoon using light from two large windows. Without the use of a reflector or diffuser, I had to slightly under-expose the shots to soften the light a little bit and then adjusted the final exposure in Photoshop. This is just one of the advantages of shooting in RAW and retouching in Photoshop. Both offer an infinite array of tones and hues when converting colour into black and white and sepia.
