Here are some shots. It helped to have the perfect sunny weather on a bank holiday Monday for this photoshoot in the park. The indoor shots were all taken using available light and bounce flash for some of them.

I decided to take the old D40 with the 55-200mm f4-5.6 lens in case things got nicked whilst at camp. It’s lightweight and no longer as valuable as it was a few years ago. If you’ve ever been in the woods, you’d know the light is low and if the sun doesn’t come out you are guaranteed blurry shots if shooting without a tripod, not to mention active subjects. Well, I thought it’s an opportunity for me to practise some PS actions on photos taken with a mediocre lens without VR / IS. These effects are experimental, mainly to help me make up my mind on what I personally like. There are so many amazing photographers out there and Photoshop is such a powerful tool that I am barely scratching the surface; I feel I need to find my own style.
