Learning to use my 50mm lens (part 1): Breakfast in my household

I recently purchased a 50mm f/1.8 lens. What a fantastic purchase! I’m learning how to use it and who better to practise on than my three little musketeers! These photos were taken one morning during breakfast. Calla and Isaac were a little more obliging compared to baby Beth who was only interested in eating her toast. I set the ISO to 200 and shot using very little available natural light at f/1.8. I’m quite pleased with the results. The fourth photo down was by the big window with plenty of natural light. I may have set the camera to aperture priority mode, left the aperture at f/1.8 and the result was still quite good. I’m very pleased indeed with this prime lens.
