Vintage shoot of my girls in DIY tutus | London Portrait Photographer

My first attempt at making a DIY tutu Angel’s Face Tutu Pettiskirt was a failure. I didn’t realise just how much fabric was needed and I didn’t have enough, so I made it into a dress for my 6 year old. Determined not to be beaten, I went and bought 20 metres of netting and started all over again with a pettiskirt for my 3 year old, this time with a little more success. They are very fiddly to do but my girls love them. They only cost me just under a tenner for material. My advice? If you don’t want your patience severely tested, stripping endless lengths of netting and 15 hours of solid sewing for both dress and skirt, just buy it. It’s worth the money.
