Maternity Session @ Island Gardens, Greenwich | London Maternity Photographer

Early Sunday morning I received a panicky text. My maternity session with Ankita and her little munchkin was 6 days away. But the little munchkin had chopped off her hair while Mummy was in the shower. Funny but not funny for photos! Thankfully, an emergency trip to the hairdresser minimised any damage made.

Damage? What damage? When I saw her on the day of the shoot, she was the cutest little thing, yes, bowl head maybe, but darn cute! And most helpful too. When I asked her to run, she ran . . . to kiss her baby brother {bump} she kissed bb merrily. . . to throw leaves in the air, ecstatically. Whenever she said or asked something, she asked in a voice no one could say no to. What a darling. Everything went swimmingly until the blue ribbon. Yes she wanted that blue ribbon and no one else was allowed to have it. Oh well, 3 year olds hey! Still, she is the cutest bowl head on this planet. I have an almost-3 year old and little bowl head munchkin just confirmed that despite some meltdowns, this is my favourite age to date.

Now on to the the maternity session. Ankita you are undeniably so fit and blooming with only a few weeks to go. I can see why baby boy was in competition with ‘abs’ when it came to showing! And how exciting baby things are going to be blue this time. Boys are great, and so are girls. How lovely to have both. Congratulations and looking forward to the new arrival. Can’t wait to meet him already.
