C & K’s wedding day started with a few memorable sparks – thunderstorms and lightning flashes in the early hours of the morning carrying on merrily into lunchtime. This sleepy remote part of Dorset, thatched houses and rolling hills, looked pretty dramatic even in the rain. Slowly but surely, the sun made its way through the mist and clouds just as we were making our way out to the magnificent Lulworth Castle that awaited us. And from then on, it was glorious; stunning sunshine enveloped the castle bathing its ruined walls and filling the smallest of crevices. What a beautiful, memorable day. Up next, a tour inside the spectacular Caslte…
How can I whittle down 1600+ edited images into one blog? I can’t. So here’s the first installment of C & K’s wedding day story starting from C getting ready with her bridesmaids at the cosy Weld Arms cottage characterised by low ceilings, original wooden beams and uneven floors – enough to whisk you away back into the 17th century in a moment.
Around the same time, K was getting ready at the Limestone Hotel, a luxurious country house nestled in the Dorset hills by Lulworth Cove. Without doubt, this little patch of postcard-pretty Dorset is one of the most picturesque places in England to make your lifetime vows to each other.
Congratulations C & K! Thank you for the absolute privilege of photographing your amazing day. Coming up next is part two – a tour of the castle and the reception!
Huge thanks to my fab second shooter Lisa Warren!
