Yasmin and Jonathan’s wedding is no doubt right up there with my all time wedding favourites, not only because they are my friends, but also because this is very much a DIY wedding and they have thought of absolutely everything. I do mean everything from making the bouquets and buttonholes, invites, backdrop, foliage, decor, calligraphy and all the styling of their modern wedding with a vintage touch. Not only did everything look amazing, it was a very emotional ceremony at King’s Church Eastbourne declaring their vows before God and their loved ones – truly love-filled day of celebration. There was some Spanish translation involved and live video streaming to Colombia where Jonathan is from which made it a uniquely special day all the more.
Yasmin and Jonathan also opted for a “non-first-look” first look, I’m sure they invented this one! First looks are very popular in America where the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony. I’ve found that all of my couples do not like this idea here in the UK. Yas and Jonathan however decided they would like to “see” each other before the ceremony but not actually look at each other. You’ll see how we did this on a couple of the images below. One of the highlights of the day was heading to Beachy Head for their bride and groom portraits! Scroll down to see some portraits of the beautiful newlyweds by the stunning white cliffs. You can also read a bit of their story and how their friendship bloomed into love on here. Congratulations Jonathan and Yas!!!
