My big baby girl just turned 9 and this time we did a lot of DIY for her flower-pressing themed vintage tea party. The cakes took a long time to decorate but thankfully my Mum did all the baking including the beautiful pop cakes as well as making the sugar paste pressed flowers on the cake. My friend Hannah and I painted them and I made all the other icing flowers.
My mother-in-law helped press flowers weeks before so the girls can make a picture each which we then framed. We all pressed fresh flowers for each girl to take home in their own flower press kits. All in all it was a low-key fun little party for C and a real family affair.
