The start of our summer holiday this year: a day with the Weis in Victoria Park

To mark the start of my children’s summer holiday from nursery and playgroup this year, we spent the first day with our good friends, the Weis, in Victoria Park. It was an idyllic day, warm and sunny, perfect for photos. The kids had plenty of fun spotting squirrels and ducks throughout the park and tiring themselves out in the playground. Ice cream at the pavilion was the perfect way to end the afternoon. Lovely memories of a lovely day. It’s sad to say goodbye to summer; winter is just around the corner. Soon, we’ll all be wrapped up in layers of clothing. Thick coats and warm scarves, hats and mittens, boots and wellies to slow us down, making us even more late for nursery… Aah, but I must remind myself that these, amongst other daily winter activities, will be new photo opportunities – weather and time-permitting, and if it snows, all the better.
