I love weddings, which is a good thing, because as a photographer, I attend a lot of them. For me, one of the joys of a wedding is seeing how fantastic everyone looks. These events really give you the chance to wear something really special. People really do look their best, which makes for some wonderful photos. But, there is a problem. This type of clothing is not cheap. If you don’t get to wear your outfit again, attending a wedding, as a guest, can work out to be an expensive experience.

Fortunately, as you will see by visiting the JD Williams website, there are some really wonderful dresses out there that can just as easily be worn for a party later in the year. All you have to do is to choose the right one. Here are a few examples of cuts that would work equally well for a party as they would for a wedding.

A glamorous one-shoulder dress

Richly coloured dresses

Cape style dresses are another example. It is a cut that has not been available for a long time, but now they are. Trying a few on is a good idea.

When you go shopping for your outfit try to think about how you are going to be able to wear it after the wedding. Often, for you to be able to do this, you will only need to buy a few extra accessories. This will give you the ability to dress your outfit up or down depending on the occasion. It could be as simple as using different jewellery. You may want to buy a jacket for the wedding and a nice wrap to wear to a party.
