Dickens Inn, St Katharines Docks wedding: Tom & Cecily

It has been a long long wait for these two amazing people. Not time nor distance could stop them from marrying… Tom has proposed twice {read their story here} and Tom has married her twice too. What a special lady! There were frustrating barriers to do with visas, Green cards and suchlike with the big pond separating their citizenships but finally this year, after another long wait, Tom and Cecily have had their wedding in Atlanta in February and their wedding blessing here in London in October. I think its such an admirable thing to do – to show great honour to both sides of the family and celebrate with them despite the hurdles on their journey. One of the sweetest gestures that I thought was worth a mention is Tom’s Dad – his best man for both weddings. I must also say I thought his speech was absolutely brilliant so sweet and peppered with hilarious memories {which had me in stitches though I really was trying not to laugh so hard given that I was on a job to take non-shaky pictures}. Such an honour to be best man twice as well as best Dad forever for Tom and a testimony to the strong love that bonds them all together across continents. Cecily is one of the kindest, most gentle people I have met and known and it was a privilege to meet her lovely Mum who gave an amazing impromptu Bride’s Mum speech.

Thank you so much Tom and Cecily for the privilege of being part of your day. Congratulations on your exciting year of weddings! I sincerely look up to you guys and on how you have withstood everything with such grace and patience whilst remaining kind and loving all through it all. I wish you the very best and a future full of amazing adventures wherever you may be in this ‘small’ world! Lxx
