Testing the Nikon D7000 Part One / London Portrait Photographer

I’ve just purchased the much-reviewed-and-raved-about Nikon D7000 for my upcoming weddings this year. First up is Laura and Michael’s wedding which is this weekend. I’ve been practising with the D7k with my kids, brushing up on editing, looking at photos that inspire me, and working on getting really focused. I get nervous during weddings and need a lot of preparation beforehand. Knowing that I will have a lovely assistant and second shooter for this one eases the nerves a bit.

So, for part one of my practice shots, here are some of my youngest baby girl in red with her ‘red-ted’. Editing here is Florabella Luxe II and the vintage frames are also from Florabella. Lens is 50mm 1.4. Shot indoors using available light through a large window.

Watch this space for more test shots with my two other children.
