I thought I’d share the wedding inspiration boards that I make for many of my weddings as a visual ‘summary’ of the wedding day. I do it mainly for my portfolio.

…Then one fine day in late September of last year, we came home from school and I knew the thinking had to cease and the doing to start. So within 5 minutes, I grabbed the things I knew I wanted to use and set-up the shots in my 5 meter square garden.

So far, we’ve had a pretty mild winter, with only a few very cold days and this family shoot happened on one of those. But you wouldn’t know it.

A new family on Christmas-time.

The second of the series is all about our family’s Christmas cake this year and my pocket camera.

J is a very special boy. Happy, energetic, smiley. Who would’ve guessed he was born so little, no bigger than his mother’s hand, at 26 weeks!

Meet Tanya and her beautiful family. Tanya isn’t just a pretty mama, she is a photographer too! So when she contacted me to take her family’s photos, I felt so honoured.

Early Sunday morning I received a panicky text. My maternity session with Ankita and her little munchkin was 6 days away. But the little munchkin had chopped off her hair while Mummy was in the shower. Funny but nor funny for photos! Thankfully, an emergency trip to the hairdresser minimised any damage made.
