My 5 year old daughter took Ben the Bear home this weekend. The kids in her class take it in turns to look after Ben; this weekend was her turn.
My oldest daughter’s ballet class last Saturday was special. It was parents’ day – the only day apart from the trial lesson when parents are allowed to watch.
My son has been asking “Mummy, it is mid-March, why is it still very cold?” It’s been a looooong wait for sweet sweet spring.

I don’t personally know this lovely family but they came across as fun, fresh, edgy, and active. I wanted to capture these and reflect them on the final photos.

The little girl was such a darling to photograph – she loved posing and working the camera. The little boy on the other hand could not be more different; he worked the camera alright, with a grumpy face pretty much the entire time. Ah, but I caught him smiling in two shots and that was just wonderful!
Where do I begin? 22 people which include 11 kids all under the age of 6! I reckon the best place to start is with the head of the clan…. no doubt the calmest and most gentle grandparents to 11 small children I have ever met! We were all in one big room and the kids were running around, clambering over sofas and chairs, rolling on the floor. But it didn’t feel stressful or noisy for some reason.
